The tradition of the folk singing i.e., klapa singing is very alive in Blato where the Festival of klapa’s of the Dubrovnik-Neretva county is held every August and The Evening of the New Compositions of the Festival of Dalmatian Klapa’s Omiš every May

As a part of the Summer in Blato every August on the square in front of the parish church male and female klapas from the Dubrovnik-Neretva County gather. It is a competition, and the jury and the audience award klapas.
At the end of May The Evening of the New Compositions of the Festival of Dalmatian Klapa’s Omiš is held in Blato. On that occasion the jury and the audience also award the best performances, compositions and lyrics.

At present, there are five klapas active in Blato. Those are the male klapa Kumpanji, the female klapa Kanela, the girl’s klapas: Perlice, Koraja and Kolajna.
